A moment to also promote the values of Guiding in communities because in all cities, in all corners of the country, everyone is informed of this feast of guides and scouts.
Thousands of young guides and scouts accompanied by adults « Old wolves » in impeccable uniforms with multicolored flags paraded through the city of Bujumbura to go to the Stella Matutina Basic School. The Vicar of the Archbishop of Bujumbura, My Lord Evariste Ngoyagoye, the National Chaplain of Guides and Scouts, Father Eddy Kwizera, the Assistant to the Minister of the Interior and Patriotic Training and the head of the Rohero area have enhanced with their presence the ceremonies of February 2020.
In his speech ; the Vicar of the Archbishop of Bujumbura asked Guides and Scouts to fight against evil and to contribute to the protection of the city of Bujumbura and above all to fight against drugs and narcotic drugs of all kinds because he has added « We want young breasts for a better future, young people capable of building and changing the world to make it better than they found it as the founder of Guiding and Scouting wanted to do. »
In her speech, the General Commissioner of the AGB, Mrs. Gapfasoni Sandrine returned to the mission of Guiding and the achievements of the AGB. She warmly thanked the parents who trusted the Association of Guides of Burundi for the supervision of their children and indicated that the AGB will spare no effort to offer young girls a quality program that meets the aspirations of young and fitting with current realities.
A day led by different numbers of young people from guide units and scout groups in the city of Bujumbura. At the end of the ceremonies, the first units in the big education game 2020 were awarded.
